Father of the Year? I say yes...
Due largely in part of one man, one father's fight to be in his children's lives, a Task Force was set up to study child custody cases in Connecticut. Jerry Mastrangelo gets my heartfelt vote for father of the year. His testimony and of the scores of other parents and advocates describes what is happening in courtrooms across the country. The Task Force to Study Legal Disputes Involving the Care & Custody of Minor Children held a public hearing:
Public comment relative to: (1) The role of a (GALs) guardian ad litem and the attorney for a minor child in any action involving parenting responsibilities and the custody and care of a child. (2) The extent of noncompliance with the provisions of section 46b-56 (c)(6) and the role of the court in enforcing compliance. (3) Whether the state should adopt a presumption that shared custody is in the best interest of a minor child in any action involving the custody, care and upbringing of a child. ---- Watch some highlights and clips below ----
