Rutherford was married to Carlos Tarajano from June 30, 2001, to January 11, 2002. In summer 2001, shortly after her wedding, her then-31-year-old husband had an unexpected cardiac arrest–he recovered. She left Tarajano a week before an InStyle Special on celebrity weddings that included footage of their wedding.

Kelly Rutherford is the daughter of Ann Edwards and was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on November 6, 1968. Shortly after her birth, her parents divorced (in 1971) and Kelly started on a long journey of constantly changing dwellings, before she was able to somewhat settle in at Newport Beach, California. After she graduated from high school, she headed back east and studied acting at New York City’s HB Studios. While in NYC, she paid the bills by working in commercials and modeling. Eventually she returned to California to chase the acting dream in L.A.
So...where is Kelly's father? Let me guess. He was abusive and abandoned her and her siblings right?

The REAL GONE GIRL: Kelly's disturbing history
Kelly left her first husband Carlos Tarajano after he developed a very serious heart condition a few months after they married in June 2001. Her bags were packed, and out the door by the following January. They were to be featured on InStyle Weddings (magazine and television special) in Febuary. Carlos was surprised and upset that their wedding was still being featured because Kelly had already left. Instyle said Kelly assured them everything was great, and they were still together. Carlos died in 2004.
