The Court Case

Preparing for the case. Our dining area was transformed into an office and still kinda is. My wife and I sat here for hours going over evidence, transcribing recordings, and looking up cases...
On the night before our Pre-trial hearing, I had gathered up as much evidence as I could, placed it all in two 2-1/2" three ring binders and placed everything else in boxes. Tammy stayed up until about 2 AM. I thought I would be following her shortly thereafter but instead stayed up until about 1/2 an hour before I was set to leave for court.          Everything was done, but I was exhausted. I took a piece of yellow sticky note paper and stuck in on the microwave at 5:27 AM. It read, "Honey, please wake me up at 6 AM. I love you."
When I left that morning, cleared off the table. When the girls saw sans paperwork for the first time in weeks, Jaida exclaimed, "Yes, daddy is done!"
Little does she know that we have a long fight ahead to get Megan back in our lives.
