The Mediator in Cases of Parental Alienation
It goes something like this:
Targeted Parent: Our daughter and I have...um...had an incredible relationship. But, she has been programmed to hate me by her mother's words and actions. Look at all this documentation and all this evidence. Mediator: Yeah well, you must have done something to make your daughter hate you. Alienating Parent: I have done no such thing. I have always encouraged their relationship, but if MY daughter doesn't want to go, I am not going to force her. Mediator: Awww...you're such a good parent. Alienating Parent: If you like you can talk to MY daughter. She will tell you. She will tell you what a controlling and manipulative bastard he is. Mediator: Is your mother alienating you from your father? Alienated Child: No. My mother is wonderful. My father is a controlling and manipulative bastard. Mediator: Awww...poor poor child. You don't need to see him...don't worry. We'll fix him. This scenario above may seem contrived or purposefully facetious, but unfortunately its almost verbatim what happened when my case of Parental Alienation went into the office of court mediator, Pietrina Termini.
